3) Spalzes and her Api (grandmother) waiting for the bus- we took Spalzes to Khaltsi hospital for updated x-rays in support of our letter and the doctor's letter to get her into school.

4) Our excellent ride in the back of a TATA truck! The bus was broken and we had to get to Hanu!

Blogging from home 1

Hi everyone,

We are home now or en route home from family visits out east.

Thanks for tuning in while we were away on this 3rd year- here are a few more pics from the last couple of weeks in Ladakh- the internet was just too unpredictable to blog from India.

1) Lex outside the Grand Dragon Hotel where we presented our research at the International Association of Ladakh Studies Conference- it was such a fancy hotel and the presentation was really well received!

2) Deb in action editing the mental health movie with 2 of the guys- Rinchen and Tomchos 

3) Presenting a workshop at the hospital for the new "pediatric handicapped unit"- we helped them with planning the space, their vision, goals and ideas for the new ward.

4) Celebrating the arrival of Sage Karuna- Norma's new grandson- with cheesecake!

5) Angmo @ Chuchot Hostel who we meet every year- she is so great and full of spunk!
